Tennis (the band)

Tennis has been on the edge of my radar for some time, but I never was that interested in their music until I found out they were the opening band for Haim.  I looked them up on Spotify and after a few short hours of listening I was hooked.  I did a little research and these guys are actually Denver natives, even better!

I’ve been listening to them non-stop now for months and was even given a teaser album for their newest body of work coming out in September.  Trust me, this will be worth the wait.  I can’t wait to see these guys headline their own tour this fall, with the final date here in Denver!  Not to mention the lead singer has some of the most awesome curls I’ve ever seen — us curly haired girls gotta stick together.

1 Year

Me and this blog share the same birthday (aka the most important day of the year!).  As usual, I have my eye on lots of pretty things to help me celebrate and ease myself into the quarter of a century club.  But first, thank you for taking the time to read this blog and for always checking in despite my erratic and irregular posting.  Cheers.

I’m still in the process of finishing our new apartment so this is a cross between practical and splurge worthy gifts to spoil my home and myself.  I will love you forever if you want to make a contribution!

Reading List Update: May/June

9780676973655-rh

We are only half-way through the year and I’m already falling behind on my reading, but things could be worse. I chose A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius to get me over the hump, which may have contributed to my slow reading.

I realize this is a highly acclaimed novel, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.  I did finish it, and even felt I could relate to the narrator from time to time, but like I said, it wasn’t for me.  I’m glad I read it and stuck to my reading for the month(s).  Don’t let me influence you though, read the book and decide for yourself.
