While I’ve always been a fan of pineapple, I’ve recently become obsessed with this adorable fruit. I’ve been seeing it pop up in a variety of textiles and prints and I can’t get enough. It adds a bit of whimsy to an outfit or a wall and is a classic shape that will never go out of style. I also just learned that they are a symbol of hospitality, so go nuts.
I go through phases with my workouts — we have a love/hate relationship. I seem to be in a fairly motivated state at the moment, but nothing makes me want to workout more than cute workout clothes. To motivate myself (and you!) to workout, I have pulled together this cute yet “don’t mess with me, I workout” outfit. Tell me this doesn’t make you want to do some sprints then a kickboxing class? (more…)
Every red blooded American knows that wedding season is in full swing. If you’re like me, this sends me into a panic of, “what to wear?”. You never know exactly how formal the occasion will be, you often don’t know the what the weather will do, and you want something that can multi task for the multiple weddings you will attend without making it obvious you’ve repeated the same outfit. So, I have assembled my picks for the perfect wedding season outfit. This ensemble can be considered formal or casual, strong enough to make a statement, and neutral enough to wear more than once. If you have lots of fetes on the horizon, feel free to mix up the accessories to make the outfit feel fresh every time.
The biggest night in fashion, the Oscars, is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited. It was a night of nudes and classic black and white for me (with the exception of Anna Kendrick). Without further ado, here are my picks for best dressed.
And my absolute favorite:
Congrats to J.K. Simmons, Patricia Arquette, Emmanuel Lubezki, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Whiplash, and Birdman for all of the well deserved wins!!
With Valentine’s Day looming, I thought it would be a great time to evaluate the state of my “unmentionables” and subsequently realize the reason why I am not in a relationship…yikes! (I can’t believe I just admitted that on the Internet.) This process led me to compile my favorite lacy, delicate, and therefore completely nonfunctional undergarments.
Ah, another year has passed and one of my least favorite days of the year is upon us. Regardless of how much I dislike the holiday, I always force myself to do some sort of social activity in case the old wives tale that what you do on New Year’s Eve will determine the rest of your year is actually true. No matter how you are ringing in the new year, here are some outfit ideas to help you spend less time worrying about what you’re going to wear (all are from trusty H&M) and that are sure to make you feel fabulous! Disclaimer: I promise I do have variation in my fashion choices, but given that NYE is right after the season of endless sweets and eating in general I stick to darker colors to disguise the 15 pounds I may or may not have gained in a week…oh, just me? Ok.
I’ve been looking to up my footwear game for the dip in temperatures we’ve been experiencing these past few days. My criteria was simple: neutral, close-toed, and versatility to take me from the office to the weekend. See my top 5 budget friendly picks for fall and winter boots.
There is a chill in the air which means I can’t leave the house without a jacket to keep me from shriveling up and dying (can you tell I LOOOVVE cold weather?). So, when you have to wear more clothing to survive, it’s best to make wise decisions to make it a happier occasion. Here my five favorite budget friendly favorite fall jackets. Right now H&M is offering 30% off on fall jackets…GO!
Target has done it again! Their latest designer collaboration is highly anticipated, and for good reason. They selected Joseph Altuzarra for their September collection and his edgy designs are causing quite a stir. I know I will be scooping up a few of these extremely budget friendly pieces for fall! See a few of my favorites below and be sure to check out the entire collection here.
It’s hereeee! Target always does two designer collaborations, one in the spring and one in the fall, and they are continuing their streak of awesome partnerships with Peter Pilotto!
Sometimes its hard for a high-end designer’s point of view to translate into the ready-to-wear, off-the-rack clothing us mortals are expected to buy. This collection transcends that stereotype, so clean out your closets ladies and make room for some of these awesome pieces!
This mixture of graphic black and white prints is pure genius. I will most definitely be scooping up that top and skirt.
I’m usually not a fan of the crop top since my mid-drift is my least favorite part of my body, but after Kerry Washington proved that you can rock a crop top at any size and after seeing this combo, I just might be convinced.
This dress!!! Get in my closet.
I’m not sure I could pull this off in a million years, but I love the silhouette, pattern, and detailing.
This dress is so quirky, but it will definitely make an impression. I love the unique neckline, graphic print, and bold color palette.
And finally, this romper. Ow ow!
Now I’m just counting down the days until this collection hits stores February 9th. (18 days in case anyone is wondering).
